M31, The Andromeda Galaxy

Andromeda is the closest galaxy to our Milky Way, some 2.3 million light years away. It’s a bit larger than our galaxy, and its close proximity lets us see amazing details, including a cluster of blue supergiant stars within the spiral arm (NGC 206).
